In 2025, a buddy was asking for some photos from an old trip we took together up the Grand. We didn't find his photos but we found some from two trips in 2009, which somehow survived being lost, trashed or hard-drive crashed in the early 2000s. We decided to republish this trip report in 2026.
We took 509 pictures with an old zoomable Samsung pocket camera on this trip. About 70 are shared below. They were resized for the website and lost some clarity in the process but they're some of the better ones from that time period.

The scramble at the southern end of Catwalk as you're on the way to Sargent's Chimney. The main rap back to the Upper Saddle is just past the rock at the top of the image.
