The Grand Teton Climb

The Belly Roll on the Grand Teton's Owen-Spalding Route

Just past the Belly Roll along the exposed ledge leading to the Crawl.

Getting ready for the Crawl and then the crux of the exposed section.

The Crawl.

The move from just below the First Entrance of the Double Chimney to the Second Entrance of the Double Chimney. This is a dicey area when snow & ice cover the slab.

Andrew is past the Second Entrance and on the ledge leading to the Great West Chimney. Due to conditions, they decided to bypass the GWC and run up the traditional OS Route.

It's only 2,500' to the next stopping point if you fall.

Moving into the Second Entrance of the Double Chimney.

Using the tunnel variation mid-way into the Double Chimney.

Coming out of the Double Chimney.

The photographer is at the first opening to the south where climbers can access the narrow northern tip of the Catwalk. We took the OC Bypasss Crack.

The narrow northern tip of the Catwalk.

AR belaying his climbing partners from the area by the main rap to the Upper Saddle.

Coming off the catwalk and onto the scramble to the area by the main rappel. Directly below the climber is the exit from the Wittich Crack.

Scramble off the Catwalk.

View from inside Sargent's toward the main rappel area.

The Hidden Exit - midway - from Sargent's Chimney.

From here it's a scramble to the summit.
